I found another little program that seems to suffer from the same thing.
It tries to move itself, and in the OTP version, it doesn't.
I found it in the openbox sources. I attached the source.

The first thing it triggered was a lack of checking for window size
hints in ctwm, which caused it to make the window frame-less.

Then when I fixed that (committed to trunk) I noticed that it only moved
itself in the trunk version but not in the cleanup (OTP) version.
You may want to change the max_width to w, etc when using a ctwm without
that new check.

I'm going to look at that, but maybe you find it first.
