Oh, definitely.  I plan to drop it in, and add a target into the
Makefile, so you can just 'make format' and let it run.  That makes
this 'deal with outstanding branches' easier too, since after you do
that first step and merge the "just before reformat" rev out of trunk,
you'll have the file and target there in your branch, so you can just
'make format' there for that intermediate step.
