It's rather ugly and very very specific for your idea. I don't see
what's wrong with Marco Maggi's suggestion, or by simply watching for
the warnings in the output! I don't think it's worth adding code to
support such an extreme edge-case.
Ok, I can carry that particular -Werror hack in my own tree..but are you ok
with the rest of the patch that fixes the warnings?
