There shouldn't be. There are a few (marked with the "non-existing host" keyword) that depend on DNS not being insane (not necessarily resolving, but not returning bogus data, either). The test suite is run in a number of automated build systems that are firewalled from the Internet at large for security purposes, and it is designed to work in that kind of environment.
