YMMD - I would like to keep my 10+ year old notebook - unfortunately the
HW is close to thermal EOL and I am not capable to fix those chips :-(.
Maybe I should start looking on auction sites for vintage notebooks from
2005 :-)

My newest amd64 laptop is an ASUS from 2005 with an NVIDIA GPU, it works
fine with NetBSD-current from last week.
