For those that don't follow the darcs-devel list, David has just announced
a pre-release of Darcs 2:

I think it would be a good idea if as many of us as possible could play
around with this and give David some feedback. I'll be installing it here
and doing some trial conversions of the GHC repositories into the new
formats, and if that works I'll put up the converted repositories on
darcs.haskell.org (for experimentation only, we can't switch over yet of
course).
