User-FAQ Project - Task List

-
Welcome! Although this appears a quiet project, much happens behind the
scenes. Read on to learn how to get involved. This is hugely a do-it-yourself
organization. If you want involvement, take it upon yourself to make it
happen.

Moderating the Mail Lists

OpenOffice.org tries to keep the mail lists open to all, whether or not
subscribed. In order to buffer all junk mail that comes to openoffice.org list
addresses, all unsubscribed emails pass through human moderators. These folks
filter the junk mail and send through the legitimate user questions. Hundreds
of junk messages are handled per day, so a high speed connection is required
for this work. If you can help in this way, please send an email directly to
OpenOffice.org's Community Manager.
