As long as Cyberboard remains Windows supported and primarily a PBeM tool.  
Live internet play is great, but Vassal already fills that void, so unless the 
product is way more user friendly than Vassal, do break a good thing to fix 
something not broken.

I intend the name to stay the same. I've always focused on forward
compatibility and that will stay the same. It's the brand name that
provides me some control over where CB goes even though others will
certainly contribute and the software is open sourced.
