There is also the Fox GUI toolkit which is free. I have used it for 
windows programs running on Linux, Sun, and SGI. It also works with 
Windows. I was able to use CVS to manage the project and I put in 
some compilers statements to handle the different platforms.

Also, I think C# was being ported over to Linux. Perhaps converting 
to C# and then being able to run the same code on Linux and Windows 
is a possibility.

Another option is to go to Java. It should run on just about any 
platform.

I am just throwing out ideas for the moment.
