OK, I lurk on these issues, and it may take a little investment but on the Mac at least it is possible. I have been running VirtualPC with Win98 for years now - just for my Cyberboard games! - and it works fine. Finding a copy would be an Ebay thing, but how expensive can old software like that be? :-) I started at OSX 10.2.8 and have gone up to 10.4.9.
Also consider if you run anything else that needs a PC platform, get a cheap WalMart or best Buy or Dell (I am talking one of those under 300.00 with rebates machines) with WinXP. :-) Think about how much is spent on video games, then maybe 300.00 for your boardgames does not seem like a lot... ;-) Ok maybe its a lot but I simply offer suggestions. :-D Now non-Mac Unix? Emulators as mentioned previously I think is the way to go there, but I am a neophyte on pure UNIX platforms. - Keith tracton Owner, Vizor Publishing http://www.vizpub.com "Firepower Pass - Yes We Have Our Gamebox For It!" :-) On Wed, Mar 12, 2008 at 8:56 AM, Joel <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > > > > >>I was really rebuffed earlier today by someone whose game I wished to > make a CB gamebox for because it is a "Window$" platform only and > cheats others out of an opportunity to play the game.<< > > There are Windows emulators available for most other popular operating > systems, but between you and me, the odds of ever satisfying this > individual are pretty low. > > > --- In [email protected], "emmd_0" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > > > > I was really rebuffed earlier today by someone whose game I wished to > > make a CB gamebox for because it is a "Window$" platform only and > > cheats others out of an opportunity to play the game.
