Thanks for the suggestions.
The cards are probably a no no as the scale is too large for much in the way of
detail for individual planets (1 hex = 25,000 light years across & 1 turn = 25
years).  I'm aiming to make the game more playable than most 3X games, so
chrome will be cut down & limited - to a great extent - to random events.

I may incorporate different types of ships - maybe as an option.

Subject: Vedr. [CBML] Ideas for Strategic Galactic CB Game

Suggestion:
Add in some of the ideas from Stellar Conquest.  Like building different types
of ships for different purposes.  Also I like the idea of having the cards to
describe what worlds in a solar system can support what kind of life.

HI People.
I'm currently developing a strategic SF game using Cyberboard, inspired by the
old SPI game Outreach. The scale is different, taking in all of our galaxy
rather than just one third of it. One turn = 1 generation, as with Outreach.
Does anyone out there have any scenario ideas / ideas for interesting random
events? I've produced some of my own, but if someone wants to suggest some more
I'll see if I can put them into the game.

The map is finished, as are all the counters and markers. It's just a case of
finishing the rules. I'll post the game once it's finished & playtested.

Thanks.
