This is scary but what they will be offering is a service to encourage shopping 
on-line.  It will be possible to read e-mail and also browse.  This is not just 
limited to the two companies mentioned, there are also plans to do similar things in 
Stations and other main public thoroughfares.   This has come about due to the mass 
influx of internet ready TV's and games consoles that are now flooding the UK market.
If your business is totally reliant on internet usage I would be very concerned but 
most of us offer more than a quick (sorry, I meant slow) browse on dedicated terminal 
that has all the appeal of a public information booth.

Not worried yet but keeping tabs on the situation.

I just saw a scary article in the news paper about a joint venture between 
Costa Coffee and Abbey National and somthing about free internet access at 
their new joint branches in the UK. I was wondering if anyone else had heard
