Ride like a Belgian. Yup. Chris and Mike rode. The Specialized Roubaix and Trek Trusty Steed braved the breeze for 7 miles. Then, we hung out our kites and flew. It’s fun cruising past the airport faster than the aircraft. Note, those aircraft were parked at the airport.
Chris pulled the ultimate Belgian and rode for 100+ kM. Mike rode for 50+ kM. We had a blast with the pretty spring sites at an average pace of 29.3 kM/hr. Those Euro dawg cyclists use those goofy numbers.
Besides the Tar River and the airport, we managed to take in Rose Bud and Firestone Parkway. The wind came to nothing as we rode back west into Wilson. A good time was had by all. See y’all next Wednesday. Mike Kinney
