Tom and I went back to food lion to chat with the Buzzer. As we are driving
up, the police are leaving. I don't think they went in to find the driver
but Tom is going to follow-up on that. We waited in the parking lot for
twenty minutes. He finally came out without the Mrs, he made his way along
the store fronts across the street to the shady tobacco shop, all the while
looking at us as we look at him. His wife came out while he is in the shop
and leaves! (can't blame her). Tom goes into the store as the guy watches
out the window peeking around a sign. Tough guy. As Tom walks into the store
the Buzzer goes to the back of the store into a little room like a humidor
or something. SO, Tom opens the door, introduces himself, asks if he can
speak to him for a minute. Tom told him that his wife was one of the riders
that he almost made pee in their pants and would he like that to happen to
his wife? He said we don't belong on the road and that he just blew
his horn. Tom told him that no, he laid on his horn and that we have just
as much right to the road as he does, and that he hopes his bitterness
doesn't cause an accident. He said you do know you could cause an accident
right? The Buzzer said yes, and Tom replied that he hopes that he never
causes someone to get hurt and left. We were curious as to where his wife
went so we went out on 58 and came back around to the tobacco shop, and
there he was, behind the sign, on his cell, calling his wife?! Guess he'll
be on the couch tonight!
