Today' route!

You can definitely define the turning point where we picked up the wind.

And notice how symmetrical my route was. That's a real piece of art!

Wow, what a day to ride a bike! Jim, DC, Wally, Steve B., John o. & I
cruised out of Nashville at 10:00am. 57 degrees at the start and 67 degrees at
the finish. We headed out for Middlesex into the wind via Old Bailey, 97,
Liles, Stony Hill, NC 231. It's always bad news riding with DC after NCSU
losses a basketball game. Today was no exception. John o. coming out of
winter hibernation had gotten his fill around Bailey and decided to take a
short cut. From Middlesex we had tailwinds most of the way home. NC 231 up to
Samaria behind Wally & DC was like being fired out of a cannon, even with all
the hills. From there it was W. Old Spring Hope road back to Oak Level. Pace
always 20+ even on the hills. The big hill up from Tar River near Spring Hope
was today's biggest challenge. I tried to at least make DC work for the polka
dot jersey, but failed miserably in putting any pressure on him. 50.2 total
miles at a 19.5 mile average. That was a blast!

I'm sure the Belgium gals that rode yesterday had the more interesting ride
this week!?!?
