I finished with about 85 miles on the bike, followed by a 3.5 mile run, in the heat! Am presently home after picking up the kiddies. Now eating everything in the house. :0 Great day on the playground! kp

(Part One) KP, Jim, John o. and I head from Red Oak towards Spring Hope via Boddies Mill Pond. Perfect morning out on the bikes. Storm clouds over Louisburg with a couple bolts of lightning but moving away from us. Quick stop in Spring Hope. Cruised by my old elementary school there that I hadn't seen in a looooooong time! On to Peachtree Hills, golf course, swan lake, complete with swans. Picture perfect day and a nice route. Now we cruise back east via Taylor's Gin. John still feeling the effects of Saturday's 254 mile bike ride takes a short cut back to the barn. We continue on to Swift Creek and a little farther east to clear the hills. That was a cool, fast section from Peachtree with Jim leading most of the way. We then cruise south to Goldrock then back west to Red Oak. 57 miles total with a 19 mph average. That was only 3 of 5 hours KP had scheduled for the day so she continues on while Jim and I call it a day. A most beautiful day on the playground. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CyclistsOfWilson-COWs" group.
