A frisky herd of seven met at DD complete with a pleather of excuses. BOB L tired after yesterday's century, Lucas claiming stomach virus last week, Dale talking about yesterday's hills. Now as Paul Harvey would say it is time for the rest of the story. So it was only fitting to do a COWS recovery ride. Hwy 58, clifftonville, tar river ch, bend of the river, hwy 97, vickers through Elm city and back on lake Wilson. Strong pulls by everyone especially Bob L into the wind across the river and up to hwy 97. Some speculation after his ride that he only drove down to New Bern to pick up his jersey. Lucas pulls everyone up first hill on Lake Wilson at 25+, only servers to motivate Dale who blows everyone away on the second hill.
