Spent couple of days in the high country, 10,000 plus feet above sea level.
Hiked a 3 mile loop on Wed, over 1,000 feet of climbing in a little over a
mile, ended up in old silver mining town, now ghost town. The road Jay lives
on is a major training rd, bikers all the time, 5.5 miles of climb, grade from
flat to double digits. Starts off flat and then stair steps up, the last half
mile or so is 10 plus percent. Bikes all over Denver, as many single speeds as
road or mountain. They allow riding on the sidewalk, can get hairy at times.
Great state to be on a bike,
Jim
