Thanks all for the props. I must admit that was one of the toughest 10Ks I have ever run at the end of a tri. The ride was 28 miles and with about 6 miles left the cloud cover blew away and the sun came out. The run at White Lake has no shade at all, and with the humidity levels high on Sat, my battle was trying to keep jogging without sending my heart rate into orbit. This was made more difficult be the new pavement (less than a month old) from mile 1-5 which was great for the bike avg but felt like an oven on the run. Not a PR in any of the events by a long shot, but considering the heat I will take it.
I'm most proud of my wife Jess who compleeted her first tri on Sunday despite having a bit of trouble in the water. It would have been easy for her to quit during the swim, but she dug down, got on the bike, had a strong ride and didn't walk at all on the run. She is already talking about the next one she wants to do. Thanks again for the wishes and I will see you all around the playground. -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "CyclistsOfWilson-COWs" group.
