I followed the thread "2.5.5-1 rsync hangs" and also grepped the mailing list archive from both October and November for 'rsync' - I found this: 1) http://sources.redhat.com/ml/cygwin/2002-10/msg00354.html 2) not a single complaint about rsync after 1.3.13 was released Also I remembered something - see this thread: http://sources.redhat.com/ml/cygwin-developers/2002-08/msg00081.html Hope this helps. It may be necessary to ask the people on the mailing list who experienced the problem if it disappeared after upgrading to 1.3.13.
