You may have noticed that Ports' project space on SourceForge has been slow since the "upgrade" to their new Allura platform, particularly with the git web interface. As bad as it is for all of you, the administration side has been completely unusable.
The cause is how their code handles multiple repos in a single project doesn't expand well to hundreds or thousands of repos: https://sourceforge.net/p/forge/site-support/6347/ After months of stalling, today they finally admitted that they're not going to fix this anytime soon. Therefore, I think the time has arrived for a new git hosting solution. My major criteria are: * Capacity for thousands of git repos in one project without performance degradation; * Ability to add git repos from the command-line (e.g. ssh, REST, etc.) * Low cost If anyone has any suggestions, I would be glad to consider them.
