BoundsChecker. I use it all the time to find memory leaks.
I wonder if you can use it on something compiled with GCC... It should be able to see bad parameters and leaks resulting from calls to the Win32 API, but I wonder if that would be the extent of what it can trap. In other words, it might not be able to follow NEW or MALLOC, because the object format might be too different. Tell you what, unless someone has actually tried BoundsChecker on GCC code and has a capsule about how well it works, I'll give it a shot and post back results.
