With cygwin on windows 95 B/C try to install winsock2. http://www.microsoft.com/windows95/downloads/contents/WUAdminTools/S_WUNetwo rkingTools/W95Sockets2/Default.asp I found it makes the difference between working and non working inetd. Bye
