Look at this: D:\Home\dexcoff1\dexcoff1\cygwin2011f\bin\cygiconv-2.dll \\?\D:\Home\dexcoff1\dexcoff1\cygwin2011f\bin\cygiconv-2.dll So it's the same DLL path, just one time with the long pathname prefix (or better: The Win32 equivalent to the native NT path prefix). But, as I wrote in my mail to Heiko, neither the Windows loader nor the GetModuleFileName call normalize the path. So I think I just apply my patch to use only the basename in the dll_init code.
