Youth Drive Organizing Against War

Over the last three weeks, New York City students in college, high school, and middle school have been building anti-war organizing efforts. Students have organized and led events ranging from holding a forum discussing school administrators' hypocritical support for war to leading a two thousand person-strong march for peace down Broadway.

Civil Rights Forum Tonight in Brooklyn
With the introduction of the covertly named P.A.T.R.I.O.T. Act and the Homeland Security act, there is much discussion these days about the future of free speech, and basic civil rights. There will be a forum this evening on that topic with Speakers from the Center for Constitutional Rights (CCR), the Asian American Legal Defense and Education Fund (AALDEF), The World Music Institute (WMI), and a possible speaker from the ACLU.

WHEN: Monday December 9, 2002, at 7:00pm
WHERE: Park Slope Brooklyn United Methodist Church -corner of 8th street and 6th Avenue (basement/garden entrance)
