Beijing, March 25: China said on Tuesday it was ready to back any plan to stop the US-led war in Iraq after Arab states called for an emergency session of the UN Security Council to demand an end to the invasion.
"We are willing, along with the international community, to take all possible measures to promote returning the Iraq issue to the framework of a political resolution within the United Nations," Foreign Ministry spokesman Kong Quan said.
