INSIGHT NEWS ALERT!
New stories from Insight on the News are now online

Folks, the big news today is that 12 U.S. troops were killed or
captured yesterday in Iraq. This is bound to be upsetting news for our country –
and awful for the families of these brave soldiers. But I’d like to point out
that’s the business of war. War is killing wounding, and taking prisoners for
military advantage. This is why the U.S. is in Iraq.
On September 17, 1862 -- in the Battle of Antietam in Maryland -- 23,
000 Americans were killed in a single day. I wonder what the 24-hour news
networks would have done with that.
So let’s keep praying for our troops, win the day quickly, and bring
them home.
We’ve got some fine new stuff for you today. Jamie Dettmer reveals how
the U.S. confused Saddam in the first days.
http://www.insightmag.com/news/396827.html And it seems that the State of New
Jersey will be under house arrest in the event of a “red alert.”

of outstanding writing below.
That’s it for now. Until next time, I’m your newsman in Washington.

WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING ABOUT INSIGHT
‘MOST OF THE TIME I’M PROUD to be called an American and to say that as one, I
am proud that you (Managing Editor Paul Rodriguez) are part of our team! Other
journalists would be lucky to have your courage to print these articles and yet
the smarts not to overstate the facts to suit an ego trip. I applaud your
fairness.”-- M.S.L., Darien, Connecticut
