your commit f5d8e1c77d2ed40ee734eb0c5627f425c595f33f requires Autoconf version 2.68 or higher, but CentOS 6 only has Autoconf 2.63 by default. There is a separate RPM for Autoconf 2.68, and after I installed that it works from within the git repository if I use "autoreconf268 -vi" manually.
