Yep, it's due to the use of the 'm4_esyscmd_s' macro. I've seen a few other projects achieve 2.63 compatibility just by detecting whether this macro is available, and providing their own replacement if not. I plan to do something like this too, hopefully before next release, but haven't yet looked into it deeply. Would welcome a patch in the meantime!
