Please read the very next sentence in the documentation: "To set annotations for another user you must *authorize* as that user." (emphasis added)

If the user invokes cyradm without a specific --authz parameter, they will automatically *authorize* with the same identity as they have *authenticated*.

is this really the user who is authenticated, or the user who is authorized? In terms of cyradm --user A --authz B, will setdm --private Spam "\\Junk" will set the special use for A or for B?
