I think we already have a good idea.

1) I'm doing a Google Summer of Code over the summer for integrating
NumPy. The approach we've eventually, after long discussions, is here:

http://wiki.cython.org/enhancements/buffer

2) Dan (of Pex) was here in Seattle with me and Robert over the weekend
and talked about integration of Pex with Cython. A summary of the pex
stuff is here:

http://wiki.cython.org/enhancements/pex

(Although parts of it may make more sense to us who were present --
please ask if you would like anything fleshed out in more detail)

Unless my summer of code fails totally, this will definitely be the
case, and I'm sure Robert will be happy to touch on the subject.
