Hi Marcela,

On our Ehpes blog there is an excellent post about the Stenzler family:

http://ehpes.com/blog1/?p=9213

Perhaps there is something useful in two documents you’ll find here that may be
relevant to your search for information about Adolf Stenzler.

Good luck to you!
Bruce

Shalom, David

unfortunately no relation: My "Bronstein" is from the other side of the family
and they came from Mogilev-Podolsky (Mohyliv Podilskyy). My great grandfather
Jacob Bronstein came to Brazil and my grandfather, Manoel, married Bertha
Roisman, from Odessa, in Rio de Janeiro, where they met.

My challenge is regarding the Stenzler's... My ggrandfather had 11 siblings and
we didn't know. Adolf arrived USA in 1921 and lived in Texas. Alfer a while
left to NY and in 1929 moved to Brazil. With the help of Michal Armony I could
met relatives in USA and in Israel and it is an amazing feeling...

I won't give up...

Todá

Marcela,

Is your family related to the Brunstein family in Czernowitz? They owned the
main flour mill and he was Stadtrat (I think it was Wolf, son of Salamon
Brunstein, one of the first two Jews to receive citizenship in Czernowitz).
They were related to my Schwarzwald family by marriage. The Schwarzwald
children's mother died young and their father more or less abandoned the
children. The Brunstein's at the time had no children, they took in the two
Schwarzwald brothers (Hermann and Daniel and looked after them very well - both
the brothers had wonderful educations in Czernowitz and later good careers in
government in Vienna). The Brunstein’s later also took in my great grandmother,
Klara Schwarzwald. By this time the Brunstein’s had two children, Fritz and
Dulia. My grandfather called the Brunstein’s Opi and Omi.

dear friends

After a while I decided to ask for your help: My greatgrandfather was born
"around" Czernovitz in 1896. I have his American passport with this information
and also some papers when he applied for American citizenship.
I was also able to find in JRI Poland and lots of other fonts, infos about his
parents and some of his 11 siblings. Unfortunately there isn't any info about
him before entering USA coming from CUBA in 1921. I contacted the State Archive
of Chernivitsy Region (UKRAIN) and there isn't any information about him. Some
of his siblings were born in Shtelts around Czernovitz, so I am not sure if I
should look for in Moldavian, Ukranian, Romanian, Austria ou Polish records
because the borders changed in that period.
I Know that his family lived for a while in Tluste and Douglas Hykle did a
wonderful research available in http://www.tovste.info/index.php
I would love to find his birth record and will appreciate your help...

Tks, obrigada and Todá Rabá, Chaverim!
