Hi everyone, As you might remember, I’m researching the 1907 Reichsrat election campaign in Czernowitz. One of the candidates who ran against Benno Straucher in Czernowitz-East was Adolf Wallstein, a prominent journalist. One thing I’ve noticed in looking through the newspaper reports on the campaign is that Wallstein is frequently referred to in articles as a “Badhausbesitzer,” i.e., a bathhouse owner. I know that there were a couple of bathhouses in Czernowitz. Is it true that Wallstein owned one of them? I’d appreciate any help with this one. Thanks in advance. -Andrew This moderated discussion group is for information exchange on the subject of To send mail to the list, address it to <[email protected]>.
