Yes, dear Boris ,

Jill’s Journey in search of Velvl Zbarzher and her own ancestors brought her (
and us) to Czernowitz and Lvov , to Zbarazh and Botoșani ,to Brody and Lutsk,
etc.

As for the Ukrainian reading friends there is an article by Ivano Franko,
published in 1905 in “Wistnyk”. There you can find the first translations of
some of Velvels poems. I’ll be happy to send you the article, if you wish.

See Attachment !

Enjoy the Book and tell us what you think.

Best Regards from Haifa,

Irene

Subject: Re: [czernowitz-l] A Contrary Journey by Jill Culiner

Hello Miriam and Irene and (possibly?) Jill,

I am ordering this book and I am looking forward to reading it. In the
meantime, I would like to send the link to some people in Chernivtsi with the
recommendation that it might be translated into Ukrainian. Does the action
take place in Czernowitz (even partially)? It is not clear from the
description. Thank you

Boris
