Hi Michael,

Some of my relatives from Radauti were buried in Czernowitz so I checked the
burial records there for any Brandmanns. I didn’t find Michael ben Shlomo
Avraham but here are the Brandmanns I did find:
Berte
Berte Ilinichne
Itzek
Anna
Berl
Josef
Klara

Lusia Klara

Rosa
Sime

The listings are on JewishGen should any of the above be possible relatives of
yours.

Good luck!

Bruce

In 2015, Edgar Hauster visited Nepolokivtsi’s Jewish Cemetery and sent some
photos.
The link that I have for the photos is not valid anymore, though I published
some of them (those that could be deciphered)
with Transcription and translation in:
Nepolokivtsi-Jewish_cemetery<https://kehilalinks.jewishgen.org/Nepolakivtsi/html/Nepolokivtsi-Jewish_cemetery.html>
There is no BRANDMANN, but there is Joseph son of Yizhak RADMANN.
Not all the graves survived, and unfortunately, I doubt if by now it would be
possible to decipher most of the surviving graves.
But- good luck anyway!

Hi Michael,
I can ask my cousin who still lives there.

I am a new member of this group and I am hoping that there is an existing
member who can help with a suggestion to resolve the following issue.

My paternal grandfather, Michael Brandmann (Michael ben Shlomo Avraham) died in
March 1933 in Nepolokivtsi (then Nepolocauti, Roumania).

The contemporaneous newspaper announcements that I have seen do not show the
place of burial although there is reference to a funeral. I consider it likely
that he was buried in the local Jewish cemetery which contains about 100 to 200
grave stones, typically engraved with Hebrew text
I wish to find and pay someone locally in the town or in Chernovitsi who is
suitable to attempt to find the gravestone and, if successful, to take a
photograph of it.
The small town is accessible by train from Chernovisti (about 30 minutes) and
by car.

I look forward to receiving any constructive suggestions which might help me.
Naturally I would be happy to provide any further information that I may hold.

Michael Brandman
