Any decent editor should have either updated its contents after the
svn update changed the disk version, or issued a warning that the file
on the disk has changed. In the first case there would have been no
problem, as we edited different sections, but in the latter it would
have been obvious that he was wiping out an update, which I don't
believe he would do.
