I originally tried using Gordon McMillan's installer with some
success. It built a single-file that would run on FC2 and related
distros.
There is an updated version of that program, now called PyInstaller.

I haven't had the time to play with this, so if you get a chance to
try it out, let us know your findings.

How to include dabo icons to exe file using py2exe?
Dabo uses --bundle 1 but icons are not included into exe.
