Hi all, I'm trying to follow Ed's tutorial (parent/child) but with my own MS SQL Server 2005 database. I'm stuck at the connection properties dialog and the only relevant thread (exact same issue) appeared to be unresolved. It did lead me to install pymssql though.
Despite many different iterations on hostname, etc. I'm still getting the "Unable to make connection" error when I test the connection. I've connected to the DB using ODBC and that works. We're using Windows Authentication currently, and the DB box is inside our LAN so there shouldn't be any firewall-type issues. I'm running WinXP, Python 2.4, Dabo 0.8 (Revision 3111), wxPython 2.6.1, pymssql 0.8. The server is Win2003 running Sql Server 2005. Any tips?
