Yes, there are things which did change (libraries in opensuse) that i'm
aware of, but there might be something which i didn't get to until now.
I have to read up more about encodings, because i thought that having
UTF8 in the gui and as the default db charset should be enough to know.

Why don't you try the encoding game too?
