As Uwe said, the Runtime Engine is a self-contained installation of
Python, wxPython, MySQLdb, psycopg, kinterbasdb, ReportLab... oh, and
Dabo, too!
It is really meant to be a way for people who are interested in
trying out Dabo to be able to run the wizard, see the demo, and maybe
even write some of their own programs without having to go through the
whole process of installing all the prerequisites. If they decide it's
not for them, running the uninstaller removes everything, and their
machine is as it was.
If you want to have the Dabo module available in your normal Python
installation, the Runtime Engine is not for you. Install Dabo as you
would any other module.
