I have stated both to the list and to Abe personally my dismay at his reaction. And my rejection of his offer. I have and had absolutely no intention of taking over Test::Smoke. My only intention was to provide the necessary work to get it to run cleanly under VDS. Along the way I got carried away. > IIRC you were present at Amsterdam.pm when I handed > Test::Smoke to Abe. I would be happy to work with him, and under his direction to achieve what I believe are our common goals. Ie, a more easily extensible Smoke suite with propper VDS/SMTP support. > > We should have co-ordinated our efforts better, but it > looks like you've > > managed to get further down my TODO list than I have. > > > > Things being as they are, I'd be happy to hand over > maintenance of Test::Smoke > > to you. I would very much prefer to keep things in Abes hands. Let me make this clear: honor prevents me from even considering Abe's offer under these circumstances. I will prepare a package of my stuff for Abe tonight and email it to him tomorrow and then refrain from working on anything without clearing it with him first. My sincere and profund apologies for this, ah for a lack of a better term, faux pas. Yves /me is tempted to come to the next Amsterdam.pm just to buy you guys a beer and to apologise in person. Alas, i suspect time does not permit.
