A reflection on today's Scripture:

Saint Paul reminds us that we were chosen by God even before the world
was made, and that we are a holy people, blameless and full of love.
What beautiful scripture, what a promise of Salvation! The Gospel tells
us that our Lord addressed the scribes and the Pharisees, using a tone
of voice that they were not accustomed to hearing, as they plotted to
entrap Him.

By the grace of God, we desire to be a faith-filled people, knowing that
Jesus loves us and will forgive us our sins. He never turns away from
the voice of our pleadings. During our ordinary day-to-day lives, we're
surrounded by voices from the media, people we work with and others who
use words that we don't like to hear.

Are we speaking the language of love, or of our own selfish ambitions?
Our simple desire is to live a life that will be peaceful and pleasing
to God, that we will never be separated from the love of Jesus Christ.

          Dear Lord,
Let us remain faithful to your word.
          We pray O Lord,
               that You hear our prayer.
               Amen
