Some subscribers have written wondering if they were cancelled due to
an email that read "list dailymed" with a Subject Header of: "FW: join
leave list". What happened is that we have new software installed in
the list server and I'm not quite used to it yet. Also, there are some
flaws in it's operation at the present. My apologies for any
apprehensions. -jn

Scripture from today's Liturgy of the Word:
Ephesians 2:1-10
Psalm 100:2-5
Luke 12:13-21
A reflection on today's Scripture:
God is Rich in Mercy . . .
The grain bins are full and we have an enormous harvest. What shall we
do? Shall we build larger bins and sit back and say, "I am safe for
life?" All too often we plan for a future, we plan and plan and plan
and plan, and suddenly that future, for whatever reason is behind us.
It's frightening.
While we need to make provision and to listen to God's word for us to
see the way we should go -- we do not need to plan ourselves into
oblivion. Instead, we need to keep turning to God remembering that God
is rich in mercy and quick to save. All the plans that ever need to be
made, all the important plans, have already been solidified in God's
gracious gift of Jesus Christ. By His marvelous sacrifice our place in
heaven and our life in eternity has been guaranteed.
So, when the planning starts to get you down, when it seems that the
future is overwhelming, just turn toward God. Each of us has a Father
who is willing to guide us, lead us, and take us by the hand when
necessary. God is rich in mercy...
