A reflection on today's Scripture:

Saints Simon and Jude . . .

In the inner depths of our soul there is a foundation that was laid by
twelve very dedicated men who were directed by the Creator of all
mankind. This apostolic foundation has become the temple where Jesus
dwells within us as long as we allow him there. His perfect will for
us allows us to choose freely, so that when our love and his love join
together it becomes as one. Without this we are made up of only
ourselves and become dry like the desert sand tossed to and fro with
no meaning in life at all.

Our apostolic tradition is one of the greatest sources of direction
for Christians of all walks of life because it is the beginning of the
Church that was founded by Jesus himself. Even with the power that the
Father gave Him, Jesus humbled himself and sought out the Father's
will before choosing anyone of the twelve to spread the good news of
salvation to the ends of the earth.

Before any decision, we too should by Jesus' example, climb high to
seek the Fathers perfect will. Great or small, God wants us to be free
and live in His Joyful presence and not be burdened by the mega amount
of decisions that we have to make in life every day.

               Guide my heart,
                    Refresh my soul
                    Breathe in me your spirit,
                    Make me whole.
                    Amen
