A Reflection on Today's Scripture:
The voice of the Holy Spirit is present to us in many forms and
faces. One way to "feel" or "hear" his voice is to be attentive and
listen. We may need encouragement, we may need forgiveness, we may
need to call upon the Spirit of the living God to fall afresh on us
-- daily!
One of the ways to be present to our Lord is to always be open to His
will. If you feel or hear a "nudge" to go and minister to someone who
is lonely, aged, ill with a terminal disease or just miserable, DO
IT! Don't wait until you have the "right" time to act in Jesus' name,
do it now!
Think about the times that you personally experienced the healing
power of God. Was it your own healing, or someone you prayed for --
or with, or visited, asking God to heal them? God shows His love to
us in many ways. When we experience a healing of a person we have
prayed for, we acknowledge the grace and love of Jesus. Our faith
teaches us so many things, not the least of which is our hope and
belief in the healing power of Jesus.
Encourage us Lord today,
to minister to all people.
Fill us with your love.
Allow us to be your partner. Amen!
