Integrating CPL'ed code as part of darcs would have this effect (for example, designing some part of Eclipse into darcs so that darcs required Eclipse code to work), but adding a CPL-allowed exception to the darcs licence would not. Unless I am confused. But perhaps I should read up on the aforementioned earlier discussion before I continue.
