I have taken a closer look at the undecided issues and added some comments and
a suggested conclusion with respect to whether the issue should be listed as
solved as part of release 2.2:
1287 darcs diff --last: inconsistent behaviour
This is a report which turned out to be a wont-fix.
Conclusion: Exclude from 2.2 list.
971 darcs check fails (case sensitivity on filenames)
In branch-2.2 and declared part of release 2.2
(http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6866).
Conclusion: Include in 2.2 list.
842 pull => problem gzopening file for write (1.0.9)
Declared resolved without action (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6906).
Conclusion: Exclude from list for 2.2.
1272 amend-record not the same as unrecord + record
In branch-2.2 (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6887) and definitely after
2.1.
Conclusion: Include in 2.2 list.
1006 darcs check and repair do not look for adds
Presumed fixed (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6878) and I presume that it's
in branch-2.2, but it doesnt really say so. It is also not clear whether it
is already in 2.1.
Conclusion: Include in 2.2 list.
1109 unwanted progress reports in text editor
Patched (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6263), but the date is "Date:
2008-10-07.15:21:30", so I presume this is also in 2.1.
Conclusion: Exclude from 2.2 list.
946 --extended-usage is shorter than --help!
Done (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6841), but the referred
http://bugs.darcs.net/msg4715 indicates that this is also in 2.1.
Conclusion: Exclude from 2.2 list.
1196 Asking for changes in /. of directory that doesn't exist gives changes
in entire repo
Done (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6728), but unclear whether this is not
also in 2.1. The message says "Author: tux_rocker Date:
2008-11-23.21:46:29 Apparently fixed by Eric's work on removing dependencies
on UglyFileName."
Conclusion: Include in 2.2 list.
1236 roundup: assigning via email silently fails
Done (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6721), but not really a darcs bug.
Conclusion: Exclude from 2.2 list.
1198 Reproducible "mergeConflictingNons failed in geteff with ix"
Done (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6703). That message points to "resolve
issue1043: avoid use of sort_coalesceFL in Patch.Real" which we have declared
in 2.2.
Conclusion: Include in 2.2 list.
1097 more up-to-date, editable roundup code
Done (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6696), but not really a darcs problem.
Conclusion: Exclude from 2.2 list.
1144 Add darcs send --in-reply-to or --header "In-Reply-To: <[email protected]>"
Done (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6694) by "Add --in-reply-to flag for
send command".
Conclusion: Include in 2.2 list.
1189 lock is not deleted on ctrl-C
Done (http://bugs.darcs.net/msg6681), but unclear what the issue
really was and what fixed it.
Conclusion: Exclude from 2.2 list.
Based on this, I have worked out the following suggested list, by adding those
marked above to be included to the ones that I had suggested to be included
already, then sorted by issue number:
525 amend-record => darcs patches show duplicate additions
971 darcs check fails (case sensitivity on filenames)
1006 darcs check and repair do not look for adds
1043 pull => mergeAfterConflicting failed in geteff (2.0.2+)
1101 darcs send --cc recipient not included in success message
1117 Whatsnew should warn on non-recorded files
1144 Add darcs send --in-reply-to or --header "In-Reply-To: <[email protected]>"
1165 get should print last gotten tag
1196 Asking for changes in /. of directory that doesn't exist gives changes
in entire repo
1198 Reproducible "mergeConflictingNons failed in geteff with ix"
1199 Backup files darcs added after external merge
1223 sporadic init.sh test failure (2.1.1rc2+472)
1238 wish: darcs help setpref should list all prefs
1247 make TAGS is broken
1249 2.1.2 (+ 342 patches) local drive detection on Windows error
1272 amend-record not the same as unrecord + record
1273 renameFile: does not exist (No such file or directory)
Comments are most welcome.
Best regards
Thorkil
