Jason Dagit <aoeu> added the comment: Petr,
Unfortunately, darcs-benchmark has the annoying habit of combining previous runs with your current runs. That means that all the benchmarks on that page are suspect :( Given that the runs were taking > 24 hours, I had used my computer a lot during some parts of the benchmarks. I had assumed that by moving my benchmarking to a new directory and using a ram disk that I would get clean numbers for the ramdisk part. I just happened to run 'darcs-benchmark report' in a new clean ramdisk and discovered it had all my previous times in there :( Eventually I found that darcs-benchmark stores things in ~/.darcs-benchmark. I've removed this directory and I'm trying the ramdisk run again on an optimized version of my patches. Less unpacking, fewer trys. I'll report these new _clean_ timings later.
