Ok, I think I'm out of luck. I was missing the mesa-opencl-icd which is needed to support OpenCL on AMD cards. But now the darktable output is:
[opencl_init] discarding device 1 `AMD CAPE VERDE (DRM 2.48.0 / 4.9.0- 2-amd64, LLVM 3.9.1)' due to missing image support. Means that my FirePro M5100 is missing some required features as I've understood from previous report.
