yea, that sucks. we could improve stability for those cases i guess.
if you have any particular files that always crash it, let us know.
that's the only way we can fix it.

switch to another film roll, or zoom in all the way, or select only 5
star images when you have none. images that dt doesn't see, it doesn't
create thumbnails for.

you can run `darktable --library /path/to/your/file.db' to make it use
whatever you want.
